A Special Dedication

I would like to honor the individuals who have been instrumental in my becoming the
therapist I am today:
My parents, Jean T. Ginter and Clarence Ginter
My mother who forged her own way into the professional world challenging stereotypes
about women in the workforce and their ability to have both a family and a career.
My father who greeted people with dignity and respect and believed in himself as he
eventually founded his own business while continuing to be the foundation of love to our
family.
Marlyn Gill
My best friend and mentor who encouraged me to develop my own set of therapeutic
skills and not be afraid to trust who I am as a person and therapist.
Enid Ikeda
The dean of women at my high school over 50 years ago who recognized that a free
spirit sometimes needs guidance and encouragement to continue to find one’s own path
and develop into one’s own person.
To you all, I thank you for the love you have given me through each stage of my life.
